LITTLE EDO PRESS RELEASE (winter 2003) :

Christopher Willits’ new single, “Little Edo”, expands upon his “Seven
Machines for Summer” from “E*A*D*G*B*E”, the recent 12k guitar + computer
compilation. In this limited edition, transparent vinyl pressing, Willits
meshes his trademark folded guitar sound with the vocals of Soul and Deep
House wonder woman, Latrice Barnett. Willits’ composition weaves melodic/rhythmic guitar lines and 4 part vocal harmonies into a funky, sugar sweet blend of soul and live electronics.

The B-side, “Your face look like a 15th century Turkish Carpet” finds a
folded reworking of “Little Edo”, emerging from a hazy, tonal, and textural
mass of sound; another willits trademark. This 7in showcases Willits diverse
musical repertoire, and sets the stage for new forms of folded guitar
compositions, as will be heard on Christopher Willits’ upcoming releases.
